The Indianola City Council meets in regular session this evening, where they will hold a public hearing on amending the city ordinance to allow the ownership of chickens within city limits. The ordinance was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission in a 4-3 vote earlier this summer, and now moves to the Indianola City Council for first consideration.
The council will also consider a rezoning request for Twin Creeks, a plat of survey request, financial participation in the DMMO facilities analysis, and an amendment to the city code regarding Building Design Alternatives before going into closed session to discuss real estate.
The meeting begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
