The Pella City Council will have plenty to discuss during a lengthy policy and planning session at this evening’s meeting.

Before that begins, formal agenda items include a pair of public hearings for rezonings on South Street, as well as public hearings to vacate a storm sewer easement at the Bos Landen Estates and a proposed development with The Courtyards Land Holding, LLC.

A resolution, if approved, would authorize a private construction agreement with Pella Corporation, and an ordinance to increase solid waste rates is also on the docket.

A policy and planning work session includes discussion about a pickleball courts request, the proposed update to the city’s comprehensive plan and zoning code, renewal of the Bos Landen Golf grounds equipment lease, and an electric emission sale. City Administrator Mike Nardini will also provide updates about the Pella Memorial Building, recently-acquired city property on south Main Street, and the latest from a consultant’s report for ambulance service updates in the community.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 6:00 this evening in the Pella Public Safety Complex.
