The Knoxville City Council approved a site plan for a new Leighton State Bank building on Monday.
The new bank building with drive up lanes will be located at 209 S Lincoln St. The new building will be positioned in the center of the northern portion of the property and the drive-up canopy will be located along the north building elevation. It will be accessed by a driveway that will wind around the side and rear of the building in a south to north direction. Onsite parking for 27 vehicles will be provided. Leighton State Bank currently has a temporary location on the northside of the Knoxville square. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery says this building will be a good addition to Highway 14.
“It’ll be a very nice building. It’s about 4,000 square feet and it has drive up lanes. We’re very excited that it will be a new location and a very nice building right there on Highway 14. They are looking to break ground in the next few months.”
