Progress is being made on construction of the new Dennis Albaugh Suite Tower at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in Knoxville.
The new six-story tower will be a replica of the existing Bryan Clauson Suite Tower. The twelve new suites will go up on the east side of the museum, looking out at turn two of the Knoxville Raceway as a bookend to the facility. The new suite tower is set to open for the start of the 2025 season at Knoxville Raceway next April, and more than 20 guests have been on the waiting list for a suite.
This new suite tower will provide additional revenue to help the museum remain open all year. Over the past week, new steel beams have been put up to start giving the future suite tower some structure, and all of the underground work has been completed. National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Executive Director Bob Baker says they are right on schedule with the project.
“We’re moving right along on our timeline on schedule. We should have the New Dennis Albaugh Suite Tower open for opening night in April of 2025 here in Knoxville. It’s an exciting time for us. Expansion is always good and the fact that we’ve been able to lease out all of the suites in advance is another good thing for our museum, so we’re moving forward.”
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new suite tower on May 31st.
