Classes in the Newton School District begin on Friday. Tonight, Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade students can visit their school and classroom, meet their teachers, and drop off school supplies. District Communications/Outreach Secretary Kelly Sorenson  also says parents can get answers to questions they might have, as well as other assistance.

“They can pick up school calendars. Get help with free and reduced lunch paperwork if they need it. Help with “Parent Square” which is our new communication platform. Help with Infinite Campus and any other questions they might have.”

These “Back to School Nights” at Emerson Hough, Thomas Jefferson, and Woodrow Wilson elementaries will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 this evening. The Berg Middle School “Back to School Night” will be tomorrow evening, also from 4:30 to 6:00. Fifth grade orientation will follow at 6:00 p.m, as well.
