The Pella Community School District celebrated its signature construction project from the 2021 bond issue Tuesday. A dedication ceremony and open house were held at the Little Dutch Academy in the Viersen Early Learning Center, highlighting the new space that will hold expanded preschool and childcare options in the district. Superintendent Greg Ebeling, Director of Early Childhood Learning Sarah Kuennen, and School Board President Joan Corbin were among those who spoke at a ceremony, which recognized project designers and constructors, as well as other contributors to the effort. Preschool teachers Dana Johnson and Stacey Sikkema are both looking forward to what the new space means for the children of Pella. The public was able to tour the space that includes ten classrooms, a new playground, and other shared areas in the facility east of Madison Elementary.
