The Knoxville Girls Cross Country Squad will carry just six runners on the roster. The Panthers lost two seniors last fall but return Janie Maasdam, their most experienced runner. Also returning is Hallie Baker and Nicole Schultz to take some other varsity spots. Girls Coach Mikayla Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she is excited to see what they can accomplish this season.

Splavec: “We have both Janie Maasdam and Nicole Schultz back again this year. Jamie is a senior and Nicole is a junior this year, and we also have back Hallie Baker for her second year. She won’t have her sister Janea but I’m excited to see what she can do.”

Knoxville is scheduled to host the Early Bird Invitational on Monday at Pine Knolls Country Club.
