Indianola Downtown Main Street is taking the next step after being designated as a Main Street Iowa Community earlier this month by the Iowa Economic Development Authority, hiring an Executive Director.

Aaron Young with the City of Indianola tells KNIA News the position will function much like the Chamber of Commerce director, except rather than serving the entire Indianola business community, it will focus solely on growing and improving the downtown square and surrounding area.
