With the Indianola school year in full swing, the district wants to remind commuters and pedestrians to continue to be safe on Hwy 92, especially during heavy pickup and drop-off times for parents and students.

Due to the construction at Indianola High School, students driving to school will be parking across the street near the Indianola Stadium and crossing the street at the stoplight. Superintendent Tara Paul tells KNIA News she wants to remind drivers to keep a watch out for pedestrians crossing the highway from the Indianola Stadium parking lot to the High School, and for pedestrians to also stay alert and off of their phones while crossing the street at the stoplight.

The City of Indianola also added stop signs on N 9th Street near the other exits from Indianola High School to help slow down traffic.
