The fall sports season at Pella Christian officially begins today, as the Eagles cross country teams compete at the Marshalltown Early Bird Invitational.

Pella Christian will run against 12 other schools and five ranked teams at Marshalltown Community College. The girls race will feature Class 4A #17 Mason City and #20 Southeast Polk and Class 2A #16 Grundy Center, while the boys race includes Class 4A #13 Urbandale and Class 3A #17 North Polk. The Eagles last competed at the Marshalltown Early Bird Meet in 2022, after last season’s race was canceled due to forecasted heat. In the 2022 meet at Marshalltown, the Eagle girls brought home a fourth-place finish and the boys team tied for fifth.

Pella Christian’s season opener in Marshalltown today is scheduled to start at 4:30 pm.
