Indianola Football Travels to Urbandale in Season Opener
The Indianola football team begins their 2024 campaign tonight on the road against rival Urbandale, looking to replicate their 31-0 victory to begin last season.
The Indians are on a streak of six straight seasons making the playoffs, and will have many new names on the stat sheet this season. The Indians will use a combination of Asher Brueck and Andrew DeWall at quarterback this season, and head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports they will try to take advantage of both players strengths, with both being great athletes and willing to put the work in to succeed.

Indianola Volleyball Sweeps Southeast Polk Quad
The Indianola volleyball team swept their quadrangular at Southeast Polk High School Thursday, defeating Humboldt, Norwalk, and the host Rams all with 2-0 scores. The Indians defeated Humboldt 25-19 and 25-17, Southeast Polk 25-16 and 25-21, and Norwalk 25-14 and 25-23, going 6-0 in matches on the day. Indianola is now 3-1 on the season, and will next play in a tournament at Bondurant-Farrar tomorrow.
Tyler Santi Placed 4th as Indianola Golfers Compete in Norwalk
The Indianola boys golf team placed 9th at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk in a meet hosted by Waukee Northwest on Thursday, shooting a team score of 318. The Indians were led by a 4th place finish by Tyler Santi who shot a 74, with Jackson Buchanan right behind at 78, Gio Richardson carding an 80, and Ryker Burgin an 86. The Indians next hit the links in Ottumwa on September 10th.
