Jasper County Health Department, MercyOne Newton Medical Center, and numerous community partners have collaborated for a 2025 – 2029 Jasper County Community Health Assessment. Jasper County Health Department Director Becky Pryor says data from Jasper County and results from a countywide Community Health Assessment survey will be shared at a town hall meeting next Wednesday September 11th from 10:30 a.m. till noon. 

“We got back 373 surveys. It’s all related to health needs in Jasper County. The next step is the town hall meeting September 11th to get the input of residents. From there we will develop a plan to make improvements in the community.”

The town hall meeting will be held in the large conference room at the DMACC Newton Campus. Those who will attend were asked to RSVP by August 30th.  Jasper County Health Department Director Becky Pryor will talk more about the Community Health Assessment on today’s Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Let’s Talk Newton.
