The Des Moines Metro Opera has been selected as a finalist in the Festival of the Year category for the 2024 International Opera Awards. In addition to the Festival of the Year nomination, the DMMO featured two principal artists that are finalists in the Rising Star category, baritone Justin Austin for American Apollo and tenor Duke Kim for The Barber of Seville. The worldwide awards ceremony takes place in Munich, Germany on October 2nd.
