The Storm women opened their conference play in Storm Lake this Tuesday with a strong 7-0 win against Buena Vista. This is the first uncontested win that the Storm have recorded since 2021 when Simpson defeated Dubuque 9-0. This win marks the first time since 2017 that the Simpson women’s tennis team started the season with a 2-0 record.
All six of the singles competitors defeated their opponents. Savana Walls, Coilee Hynek, and Maggie Hall each recorded a 6-0 set win in singles play.
Each of the doubles competitors for Simpson defeated BVU as well, with Savana Walls and Coilee Hynek defeating Buena Vista in a 6-0 shutout victory.
