Knoxville Football Heads To Clarke Hoping To See Improvement

The Knoxville Football Squad will travel to Osceola to find its first win of the season against Clarke tonight. It was a tough opener for the Panthers last week against Boone playing a team that outsized Knoxville by nearly 100 pounds along the front line. The Panthers also opened the new stadium at Randy Wilson Track, and while not offering excuses Coach Matt Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports maybe this week it is good to be on the road so his team can be in it corner of the world up until game time and not have all of last week’s distractions.

Dunkin: “I think it’ll be good to get on the road and on the bus, and get into our own little bubble and be with each other, and focus on playing four quarters of hard physical football then I think we’ll be walking off the field a winner.”

The Indians have a new coach, but Dunkin says they run a similar style to last season and that they want to get to the outside with passes and runs then hit you over the top. Pregame is at 6:30, with kick off a half and hour earlier than normal at 7:00 on your radio home of the Panthers 95.3 KNIA.
