The class 4A #10 Knoxville Volleyball Squad travels to Davis County tonight. The Panthers are coming off winning three of five matches at the Atlantic Invitational on Saturday and beating Albia in five sets last Tuesday. The Panthers stand at 1-0 in the South Central Conference while the Mustangs are also 1-0 after a win at Chariton last week, which was their first win of the season in 11 matches. Knoxville Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her team won over Albia because they were the mentally strong and the more fit team.

While volleyball is in Davis County, the Panther Cross Country Squads head to Grinnell. The Panthers have a win and a runner-up finish at their first two meets. Boys Runner Isaac Rankin, who is #13 in the latest individual rankings from the Iowa Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in class 3A. The Panthers will see two Little Hawkeye Conference squads along with Benton and Williamsburg among the teams.
