The Pella Christian cross country teams hit the road tonight to run in the Gilbert meet, while the volleyball team returns home to host Woodward-Granger.
Both the Eagles’ boys and girls cross country team’s enter the meet ranked #14 in Class 2A, after competing at the Pella Dutch Invitational on Saturday. Running on the Central College cross country course this past weekend, the Pella Christian girls brought home a fourth place finish, while the boys claimed fifth. The Gilbert meet this afternoon features a loaded 18-team field, with 12 ranked girls programs and seven ranked boys squads.
On Eagle Lane, the Pella Christian volleyball team is looking to extend their recent winning streak to five games. The Eagles are off to an 8-3 start to the season and have won their last four matches by sweep. Pella Christian’s great start to the season continued on Tuesday, defeating Newton in straight sets on the road. Across the net, the Hawks hold a 3-8 overall record after sweeping Ogden on Tuesday.
The Gilbert Cross Country Meet today at Iowa State’s cross country course is scheduled to start at 5 pm, while the Eagles volleyball game against Woodward-Granger tonight is scheduled to begin at 7:15 pm.
