Volleyball Sweeps Moulton-Udell
The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad swept Moulton-Udell in three sets 25/16…25/16…and 25/16. Gabby Overgaard had ten kills on the night, while Jenna Mickey had eight digs and was 15/17 serving with two aces. Sophie Lamb had five digs and Kianna Jackson went 13/14 serving with four aces. Coach Jesyka Nolte told KNIA Sports the girls played well and it was great to get another win. The Saints stop a two game losing streak and even their record at two-and-two on the season.
Saints Football Visits Montezuma Tonight
The Melcher-Dallas Football Squad will try to find the momentum it gained in a week one win over Mormon Trail against Montezuma tonight. The Saints were never in the game against Belle Plaine last week in a 86-12. The Braves have put up the points in their two wins, they have scored 144 points while in their only loss was 44. Melcher-Dallas Coach Jason Mason tells KNIA Sports he thinks there may be some matchups that he can exploit to his advantage.
Mason: “Definitely no shortage of talent this year. Just watching film they seem to be similar to us and we think there are some one-on-one battles that we can take advantage of.”
The Saints come in at 1-2 on the season while Montezuma is 2-1 kick off is at 7:00.
