The songwriters behind some of country music’s biggest hits are coming to the Pella Opera House on Saturday, October 13th.

Local singer/songwriter and Pella Opera House Associate Director Jara Johnson is inviting her friends Lee Thomas Miller and Wendell Mobley to the stage to discuss and perform the songs they have written for some of the biggest names in country music. Miller and Mobley will perform the hit songs they wrote for artists such as Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lee Brice, Trace Adkins, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, and Garth Brooks. Johnson says the show is a great opportunity to learn about the inspiration behind their work.

“I think the unique part of this is you get kind of an inside look into how a song started, one that you’ve heard on the radio, sung by these country artists. You get to hear from the songwriter what they thought about that day and what was going on as they were creating this song that this person cut. I think it’s just that inside look that’s just very unique.”

Tickets for Nashville North at the Pella Opera House can be purchased at their box office during regular hours or online.
