Behind a penalty kick by Maddie Hays and two brilliant goals from Jordyn Foelske, the Simpson College women’s soccer team picked up a second straight draw in Minnesota against Carleton.

Both teams came into the match undefeated and ranked top four in the region, with Carleton (5-0-1) also receiving votes in the national rankings. The Storm (4-0-3) scored all three of their goals in the opening 25 minutes and led 3-1 at the break after Carleton got one back in the 31st minute.
The Knights clawed their way back, scoring early in the second half and equalizing with just 10 minutes left. The home team took the final two opportunities of the game and nearly scored the go ahead goal with 20 ticks left on the clock, but Anna Borkowski’s header went just wide of the net, preserving the draw and keeping both teams’ unbeaten records intact.
