For the second time in his career and first time this season, CJ Hangartner has been tabbed the American Rivers Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Hangartner anchored Simpson’s defensive dominance in a commanding 45-7 win over Crown. He registered five tackles, including three for a loss of 14 yards, and two sacks, each for a loss of four yards. Additionally, Hangarter forced a fumble and added a quarterback hurry to his stat line.

The Storm are set to open their A-R-C schedule this Saturday in Dubuque. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
