The Pella City Council held further discussion and received updates about upcoming city facility projects at their meeting Tuesday evening.

During a policy and planning work session, City Administrator Mike Nardini outlined details about ongoing work to eventually renovate the Pella Community Center, Pella Memorial Building, and the recently-acquired building at 215 Main Street.

During the same session, council further discussed, but took no action, regarding a partnership agreement with Central College for pickleball courts.

Prior to discussion, the council held public hearings for zoning ordinance changes along 218th Place and at 906 Independence Street. Resolutions were also approved for a final plat for the Proverbs 13:22 addition and the preliminary plat for Prairie Ridge West, and the second reading of ordinances for tax increment financing at the Epcon Residential Urban Renewal Area and to update parking rates in the Molengracht were also moved forward.
