The final weekend of racing in 2024 gets started tonight at the Knoxville Raceway. The 20th Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals brings some of the best late model drivers from around the country and Midwest. The Late Model Nationals format is similar to the Knoxville Nationals in August where drivers will take two-lap time trials, run heats and then race in a C, B, or and A-Main scoring points each time they are on the track. 200 points will be awarded to the fast qualifier, 100 points for a heat race win, and 200 more points for an win. All drivers will run both tonight and tomorrow night with the highest point total from the preliminary nights being taken. So far 38 drivers have entered the Late Model Nationals according to knoxvilleraceway.com. Action is set to get underway tonight with hot laps at 6:30.
