The Knoxville Volleyball Squad went 1-3 at the Waukee Invitational as the Panthers faced a loaded field full of ranked teams. Knoxville fell to class 5A #3 Ankeny 21-13 and 21-5, class 4A #8 Norwalk 21-8 and 21-19, beat Des Moines Roosevelt in two sets and fell to Sergeant Bluff-Luton in two sets 25-21 and 25-15. The Panthers have been forced to change rotations due to injuries and Coach Mollie Keitges tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while they are still trying different combinations, they need to settle on the line up soon.
Keitges: “We’re in a little bit of that phase where let’s try some people at certain spots. But we also need to get line-ups set and get people to play alongside them so their used to playing out there and that’s what get good results.”
Keitges adds several of the girls are progressing in their new roles this season. Knoxville stands at 10-8 and will host Clarke on Tuesday.
