The Indianola and Norwalk boys golfers competed in the 11-team Southeast Polk Invite held Wednesday at Copper Creek. The Indians placed fifth with a score of 300 and the Class 4A 10th-ranked Warriors took sixth with a 303.

Tyler Santi, Jackson Buchanan and Ryker Burgin all shot rounds of 74 to lead Indianola, earning 14th, 15th and 17th-place medals, respectively.

Sixth-ranked Southeast Polk and top-ranked West Des Moines Valley finished one-two in the team standings, both recording a 285.

Indianola returns to action on Monday, playing in a quad meet at Ottumwa’s Cedar Creek. Indianola, Norwalk and Dallas Center-Grimes will compete in the Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament on Wednesday, October 2, at Willow Creek Golf Course in West Des Moines.
