Indianola Football Travels to Ballard to Begin District Play

The 3-1 Indianola football team begins district play tonight on the road at Ballard, looking to repeat their 30-27 victory over a powerful Bombers team from last year. The Indians are coming off of a 28-7 victory over Carlisle on homecoming, and will have to contend with a Ballard team that has righted the ship after an 0-2 start, and features a powerful three-headed rushing attack. The Bombers have three running-backs that have over 167 yards on the season, and a combined eight rushing touchdowns when including quarterback Mason Gatchel.

Indianola head coach Eric Kluver tells KNIA Sports Indianola will have to follow the formula that has worked for them all season long, limit big plays and control the line of scrimmage in order to win.

The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, with Andrew Swadner and Rob Hawkins on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with kickoff at 7pm.
