The legendary career of Pella’s Hall of Fame football coach is coming to a close this fall, and those connected to the program are invited to celebrate during his final season.

All who have been impacted by Jay McKinstrey are encouraged to pack the stands and celebrate his legacy during his final regular season football game on Friday, October 25th at Central College against Gilbert.

Carson Wealth, under the leadership of former Pella state football champion Zach Vande Weerd, is hosting a special celebration for those directly connected to the program on Saturday, October 26th at Pella High School.

“We welcome all former and current players, coaches, trainers, managers, statisticians, chain crew, media personnel, and any others who were directly involved in the Pella High Football Program to come celebrate Coach Mac’s retirement with one of his favorite treats, a chocolate malt, on Saturday October 26th at the Pella High School Commons,” a social media post read.
