Those interested in becoming the next Tulip Queen or a member of the Royal Court can do so through today. Nominations should be submitted through 4:30 this afternoon for high school seniors living within the borders of the Pella Community School District. Those who would like to be a part of the process can self-nominate.

Those eligible must
– be a high school senior girl
– be 17 years old by May 1, 2025
– be unmarried
– have a permanent home mailing address in the Pella Community School district
– live with a parent or legal guardian

From there, Carol Williamson with the Tulip Time Steering Committee says the girls nominated have to accept and commit to being part of the process, and the list of nominees will be voted on from October 15th through the 22nd.

The 12 Tulip Queen finalists will be announced on 92.1 KRLS by the end of October, which will lead up to the annual Queen’s Announcement Party on Saturday, November 16th at Pella Christian High School.
