The ranked Pella Christian cross country and volleyball teams will compete for the only time this week tonight, with cross country traveling to Williamsburg and volleyball hosting Norwalk.

The Class 2A #15 Eagle boys and #13 girls cross country teams return to action after a week-long break that followed a stretch of four meets in a two-week span. Welcoming Pella Christian back to the course will be a loaded field at the Williamsburg Invitational. Of the 23 schools scheduled to run in the meet, the Eagles are among nine ranked boys teams in the field and ten ranked girls squads. The boys race features five teams ranked in Class 3A (#2 Pella, #4 Mount Vernon-Lisbon, #8 ADM, #10 Carlisle, #12 Bondurant-Farrar), two teams in 2A (#15 Pella Christian and #17 Tipton), and two teams in 1A (#11 Lynnville-Sully and #18 Danville). The girls field has five ranked teams from 3A (#1 Pella, #2 Mount Vernon-Lisbon, #3 Solon, #9 ADM, and #18 Williamsburg), two teams from 2A (#3 Tipton and #13 Pella Christian), and three from 1A (#3 Lynnville-Sully, 1A #8 English Valleys, and #13 Danville).

After going 3-0 a week ago, the Class 2A #11 ranked Pella Christian volleyball squad welcomes Class 4A #8 Norwalk to Eagle Lane. The Eagles began last week with a 3-1 victory over Oskaloosa, then went 2-0 at the Grinnell Triangular with wins over 2A #12 Grundy Center and 4A #14 Grinnell. The ranked Warriors squad most recently competed at the Nevada tournament last Saturday, going 2-2.

Varsity races for the Pella Christian cross country teams in Williamsburg tonight are scheduled to start at 5 pm, while the Eagles home volleyball match against Norwalk begins at 7:15 pm.
