The Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad split its matches at Moravia on Tuesday. The Saints fell to class 1A #1 Ankeny Christian 25-11 and 25-9, but then defeated Moravia 25-23 and 25-17. The front row duo of Haylie Hendrickson and Gabby Overgaard had five kills while Jenna Mickey had seven digs. Sophie Lamb was perfect in 16 serve attempts with four aces, and Mickey did not miss a serve in 15 with four aces. Coach Jesyka Nolte told KNIA Sports serving was key to the win in match two. The Saints cross country runners were at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville. Both boys runners set new personal records as Austin Remster and Dane Sorensen both lowered their best times of the season.
