Some of the best marching bands in central Iowa are converging at Pella Christian High School this Saturday for the 15th annual Marching Dutch Invitational.

The event has moved to Eagle Lane for 2024 only as stadium construction is ongoing at Pella High School.

Eighteen bands will compete in three classes, with smaller schools performing from 3:30 to 5:45 p.m., including PCM at 3:45, and Class 4A hitting the field from 8:15 to 10:30 p.m., including Newton at 9:30 Saturday evening.

The Pella Marching Dutch will close the evening in exhibition at 10:30 p.m. before the awards ceremony.

Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for K-12 students, and children preschool age and younger get in free.
