A ribbon cutting ceremony was held by the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Thursday evening for Randy Wilson Track.

This was an opportunity to serve as the kickoff for Knoxville’s Homecoming Pep Rally and Events, bringing together alumni, students, community members, and local leaders to celebrate the new home of the Knoxville Panthers. Randy Wilson Track, a facility that has served Knoxville athletes for many years, has undergone extensive renovations to improve its functionality, appearance, and accessibility for future generations of athletes, performers, and spectators. The upgrades have been made possible through the combined efforts of local donors, school officials, and the Knoxville community.

Randy Wilson spoke at the ribbon cutting and talked about how impressed he was with the upgrades to the facility, and that he is proud of the work that has been done. The homecoming king and queen coronation ceremony was held after the ribbon cutting.
