Pella in Pink was held Sunday afternoon at the Cordova Park Pavilion at Lake Red Rock. 

The event presented by the Pella Regional Health Center Foundation included a brief program, bounce houses for children, and a 1.2 mile trail hike around Karr Trail. Foundation Coordinator at Pella Regional Jenny Hesseltine said it was great to see a large crowd attending the event and showing support for their loved ones.

“I think the thing that stuck out to me most today was just how many supporters were rallying around their special woman in their life. We had people here as early as one o’clock dressing up in pink tutus and putting on their own tattoos or their own shirts saying ‘I’m here supporting this person in my life’ and it’s incredible to see families, communities, and supporters come together and just really love each other well through the journey.”
