The Knoxville Fire Department will hold a Fire Prevention Week open house tonight.

The annual event will be from 4:00-6:00 pm and will feature a chili feed, a visit from Crisis Canines of the Midlands, inflatables, and more. Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman said this event is a good way to talk to the community about fire safety as well.

“It’s just a night to get together with the community, to open our doors and invite the public in to talk and share about fire safety. There are departments all across the county doing different things this week.”

The Knoxville Fire Department goes to the local schools this week as well to talk about fire safety.
