Despite having the #5 in 5A Indianola girls down to set point twice in the first, the home team was too much for #6 in 4A Pella to handle as the Indians swept the Dutch (27-25, 25-17, 25-17) in the match that all but clinched the Little Hawkeye Conference crown Tuesday evening.

The Dutch led most of the first set and worked to get to a slight lead in the end, but Indianola scored three consecutive points to earn the first of the 3-0 tally that ultimately proved to be decisive. The home team scored eight points in a row to end set two after a 17-17 tie and didn’t look back, and scored five of the last six points in the final frame to claim at least a share of the conference title (there are no tiebreakers in the LHC).

Cameron Overton led the way with 14 kills and four aces and Aspen Nelson added eight kills and 25 assists. Pella was paced by eight Kills from Katie Scheckel and five apiece from Brooke Schulte and Emma Eekhoff.

Indianola remains unbeaten against conference competition without dropping a set and improves their record to 27-4 and Pella falls to 31-7; both teams head to their own home tournaments on Saturday before wrapping up the league season next Tuesday at home.
