The PCM football team will travel to State Center tonight to take on the West Marshall Trojans.
The #1 ranked Mustangs are 6-0 overall and 3-0 in district play and are coming off a 52-8 win over Vinton-Shellsburg last week. The Trojans are 5-1 overall and defeated Iowa Falls-Alden 37-12 last week. PCM continues to be led in offense by the explosive duo of quarterback Gavin Van Gorp and running back Adrien Robbins. The PCM defense has also played lights out all season holding all but one opponent to just one score.
West Marshall is a team in PCM’s district who is a familiar foe as the Mustangs have played them 13 times in the Bound era with West Marshall holding an 8-5 advantage. Robbins was a nightmare for the Trojans defense in their matchup last season as he rushed for 409 yards in a historic performance by setting the school record for rushing yards in a game. If PCM pulls off the win tonight they will lock up the number one seed in their district.
Tonight’s game in State Center will start at 7:30 pm.
