The American Rivers Conference announced its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Committee last week and Central College men’s golfer Kayden Pendergrass was chosen as the third executive committee member.
Each of the league’s nine institutions put forward representatives to serve on the conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. The Executive Committee was selected based upon a committee vote during the September American Rivers Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee meeting. The purpose of the committee is to provide a student-athlete voice within the conference, solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA and conference legislation, suggest potential NCAA and conference legislation, and create a vehicle for student-athlete representation both conference-wide and nationally. Pendergrass has played six rounds at three events this fall, averaging 77.67 strokes per round.
Joining Pendergrass on the American Rivers Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is Dutch softball player Carlin Smith.
