The Grand Theater in Knoxville continues to make progress in their clean up efforts.
The theater suffered extensive water damage at the end of July after a storm blew a tarp off of the building while construction crews were doing repairs. It rained inside the building for several hours and caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. The theater recently stated on social media that one of their biggest challenges has been complete as they have changed out over 500 ceiling tiles that were damaged during the storm. All of the seats and carpet were also recently professionally cleaned as well, as they took in a lot of water.
The theater hasn’t set a date yet for re-opening but you can continue to support them by purchasing curbside popcorn on Friday and Saturday nights.
