The Indianola School Board will undergo professional development from the Iowa Association of School Boards this winter. Superintendent Tara Paul tells KNIA News the board elected to bring in the IASB Module Learning course, which will help them be more efficient and productive in board meetings.
“So what I will do is reach out to the IASB and get set up sometime after January for them to come in and deepen their understanding of what it is to be a board, what it is to be a board member, what are board issues versus what are district level issues? Trying to make all of us working together and moving forward in the best way possible. The board recognizes that we are a learning institution, and part of that is their learning. So they want some professional development in the area of board development.”
