The Knoxville School Board approved a quote from Pierce Fence Company for Randy Wilson Track at their meeting Monday night.

The quote is for black vinyl chain link fencing with black privacy slates that will go underneath the home side bleachers. Business Manager Craig Mobley said at the meeting that this is to prevent people from going underneath the bleachers during games and that they can also use the area for storage. 

“If anybody has been out there over by the concession area or seen the visitor bleachers they’ve noticed the fencing that is blocking off underneath the visiting bleachers, we are going to do the same thing on the home side. We will put a fence underneath the home side to block that off for a safety issue so nobody is going in there or playing underneath the bleachers or getting caught underneath there, but to also create a storage space for some items for us.”

The quote approved was for just under $19,000.
