The Knoxville City Council set a public hearing for the Larson Street Pump Project at their meeting Monday night.
The public hearing was set for November 4th which is the next city council meeting, and the city received five different bids for the project that were all much higher than the engineers estimate. Also at the meeting the council approved an intergovernmental transfer of public funds agreement between the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services and Knoxville Fire Department, a 28E agreement between the City of Knoxville and the Polk County Area Fire/Rescue services for mutual assistance, and the council approved litigation to be taken on a property located at 710 W Washington St.
