The Newton volleyball team had their season end Tuesday night, as they were swept 3-0 in the first round of Class 4A Region 6 play at Bondurant-Farrar. The host Bluejays defeated the Cardinals by set scores of 25-13, 25-23, and 25-17. For the Cardinals, Delaney Woollums had 11 kills, nine digs, one ace, and was nine for nine serving. Isabelle Rawlins added 21 assists, nine digs, and was 12-12 serving. Chloe Swank contributed 25 digs and was ten for ten serving. Macy Lampe added seven kills, four digs, and was six for six serving. Newton ends the year with an overall record of 12-17. 

The Newton Colfax-Mingo Pella Aquagirls traveled to Indianola Tuesday night to swim against the hosts and Oskaloosa in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet. The Aquagirls won the conference title, followed by Indianola in second and Oskaloosa in third. The NCMP Aquagirls will next compete in the North Central Swim Conference meet at the Grinnell College Natatorium at noon on Saturday.
