Republican State Representative Jon Dunwell of Newton says a lot of what he enjoys about being a state legislator is helping constituents with their individual problems. Dunwell is running for re-election in House District 38. He calls assisting constituents an important part of what legislators do on a regular basis.
“They may not be getting a needed answer from the State Government, or hitting a roadblock. Just this past week I was able to help two different veterans with their issues or benefits and communication they needed help with”
Dunwell has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since winning a special election in October 2021. He succeeded another Newton legislator, Wes Breckenridge, who resigned the seat. Iowa House District 38 Candidate Jon Dunwell is the guest on today’s Let’s Talk Newton.
