An ongoing effort to raise funds for the Pella Community Center is starting to come together outside of the building. Pella Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan says they’ve been a mural of tiles to represent the Heart of Pella on the east side of the building. Vaughan says there are still tiles available, with the goal of finishing the project before December, with the Pella City Council making decisions about facility plans scheduled in that timeframe.

Donors can stop by the Pella Community Center to pick up a tile, with the cost of $10 to paint their own tile or $20 to sponsor a member of the Pella Art Center to paint the tile instead.
