The Pleasantville boys and girls cross country teams will bring back a majority of their runners in 2025.
The Trojan boys will lose just one senior in leader Kurt Kuhnen who qualified for state in 2023 and has been the top runner for Pleasantville. The girls team will lose three seniors total, but will bring back their top two runners from 2024 in freshman Ryleigh Hardman and Summer Isley. The Trojans have a lot of talented young runners on both teams and have had a lot of success at the middle school level which should set up a bright future for Pleasantville cross country. Coach Aaron Fichter says it is important to keep the runners bought in and continue the momentum.
“We just have to keep building and keep encouraging. We have to take some time to get into the winter season for a lot of these kids and then just moving forward for track season as a lot of these kids will do track and just springboard into the summer.”
The Trojans ended their 2024 season last week at their home state qualifier meet.
