After three seasons, the Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad had a home gymnasium to play in. The gym had been under construction after the roof collapsed and made its debut this fall. Volleyball Coach Jesyka Nolte tells KNIA Sports it was great because the girls did not have to board a bus for every game this season.

Nolte: “It is definitely nice to have a home gym and get on a bus. They can go home and chill out and listen to some music before the other team came, so it was a blessing this year.”

Many of the girls who played volleyball will embark on basketball this winter and it has already been announced that Melcher-Dallas will host the finals of the Bluegrass Conference basketball Tournament.
