Author Denise Williams is coming to the Knoxville Public Library on Wednesday as part of the “Knoxville Reads” program.
The event will be at 6:00 pm and then there will be a meet and greet with Williams at A&P Pub the same night starting at 7:20 pm. Williams wrote her first book in the 2nd grade, I Hate You and its sequel, I Still Hate You, featured a tough, funny heroine, a quirky hero, witty banter, and a dragon. Minus the dragons, these are still the books she likes to write, and she specializes in romance novels. After penning those early works, she finished second grade and eventually earned a PhD. Williams now lives in Iowa with her husband, son, and her dog and she says she is excited to come to Knoxville.
“I’m so excited to meet readers and meet new folks. I love visiting libraries and getting around Iowa. I will be driving over from Des Moines which is where I live and I am excited to meet you all. I’ll be reading a little bit from my forthcoming book which will be coming out in March and I think the Knoxville Library audience might be the first group to hear me read from that book because I haven’t done that yet.”
This event is free and open to anyone. Hear more from Williams on Tuesday’s Let’s Talk Knoxville.
