Looking to improve upon last season’s 9-12 regular season record, the Pella Christian girls basketball team will play nearly the exact same schedule that they faced a year ago.

The Eagles will open the season with a home game against Davis County on Saturday, November 23rd, after opening last season with a 67-52 win over the Mustangs. Pella Christian then faces the same six opponents following the season opener as they did a year ago, beginning with a road trip to Montezuma on November 26th. The Eagles non-conference slate only features one new opponent this season, as Des Moines Christian replaced Chariton on the schedule for a December 16th meeting on Eagle Lane. Other non-conference games for Pella Christian include Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Dec. 3rd), PCM (Dec. 5th), Van Meter (Dec. 12th), Grand View Christian (Dec. 16th), Knoxville (Jan. 13th), and Albia (Jan. 20th).

In Little Hawkeye Conference play, the Eagles will open up at Oskaloosa on December 6th, before hosting Norwalk on December 13th. Pella Christian’s third conference matchup will come after Christmas break, as they travel to Newton on January 7th. The first round of the Tulip City Showdown against Pella will be on Eagle Lane January 10th, with the second edition of the rivalry matchup at Pella High School taking place on February 7th. Other notable conference games for the Eagles include their homecoming game against Oskaloosa on January 24th, and the regular season finale at home against Indianola on February 13th.
