The Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting local vendors to be part of the upcoming Jasper County Courthouse Lighting Celebration. Executive Director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce KayLea Marchant says having a lot of vendors downtown will add to the atmosphere they want to create the night of Black Friday, November 29th.
“We would really love it to be more of a festival style and kind of a celebration. So you can email me at director@newtoniachamber.com, or you can find us on the web at www.experiencenewton.com, or on Facebook.”
Marchant says the Christmas lights on the Jasper County Courthouse in downtown Newton will be turned on at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 29th. That will be immediately followed by a lighted Christmas parade. Children will also be able to visit with Santa, who will be in his workshop on the north side of the square.
