A dream season that resulted in 18 wins, and a Bluegrass Conference Tournament Championship is fueling the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad to reach for higher goals this season. Coach Kelsey Goff returns 70% of the scoring punch from last season’s 18-4 squad. Goff is excited to start the season and thinks this year can be even better than last year.
Goff: “Looking to continue on that high of a repeat of the conference tournament and getting first place in the overall conference standings as we finished 2nd for ACA. We want to build on the accomplishments from last season and improve on our results.”
After dealing with health issues last spring and summer, Addi Wadle returns as the motor that propels the squad averaging 21 points per game last season. Gabby Overgaard returns as the post player as she snared 176 rebounds. Add in Kianna Jackson plus a deeper bench and the Saints have designs not only to win the conference tournament, but also the regular season title. The Saints are set to get underway November 26th at home against Wayne.
